Syeda Fizzah Jilani is a Research Scientist at the University of Maine, USA and working on a Department of Energy project on harsh-environment surface acoustic wave sensors. She received her PhD in Antennas and Electromagnetics from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), U.K. on millimetre-wave antennas for 5G wireless applications. She also worked as a researcher in QMUL on multiple projects related to advanced materials, flexible high-frequency metasurface, implantable and wearable antenna front-ends. Her research interests are 5G, millimetre-wave antennas, adaptable antennas, wearable antenna technology, conformal meta-textiles, harsh-environment sensors, surface acoustic wave sensors, microfabrication and RF-devices.
